Experience
Lloyd has practiced law at several well-established Zimbabwean law firms since early 1994. While he has experience in general practice, his primary focus is on Conveyancing, including the registration of transfers and mortgage bonds with the Deeds Office. Over the years, Lloyd has become an acknowledged expert in this field, having lectured at University Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels on Conveyancing, Notarial Practice, and Advanced Land Law since 1999. He also has extensive experience in financial transactions involving financing agreements for international funders, particularly in registering security in their favor, binding local institutional debtors. Additionally, Lloyd has significant experience in commercial and corporate law practice, banking, and financial services, advising on major transactions including competition laws, reconstruction and restructuring, schemes of arrangement, privatizations, mergers and acquisitions, and listings on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange. He has also served as an arbitrator for commercial disputes.

Achievements
Lloyd is a recognized leader in the legal field and has made significant contributions to Zimbabwe’s legal landscape. He is the author of the first and only book on Conveyancing in Zimbabwe, titled “Conveyancing in Zimbabwe” (LRF, 2005). He has also published a second book, “Being the Best Lawyer” (2024), a guide to achieving true success in the legal profession. Lloyd has been ranked as a leading lawyer in the prestigious *Chambers and Partners Global Legal Rankings* for several consecutive years. He was the first Lead Independent Director and is currently the Chairman of the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange-listed African Sun Limited. Lloyd has also served as a Director and Member of numerous public and private corporations and councils, including FBC Building Society, Ecobank Zimbabwe Limited, Dawn Properties Limited, and the Zimbabwe Schools Examinations Council, among others. His leadership extends beyond the legal profession, as he has been appointed to various Constitutional Commissions, including as a Commissioner on the Judicial Services Commission. Lloyd is a past President of the Law Society of Zimbabwe, having been a Councilor for more than a decade.
