Experience:
Cephas has practiced as a Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer, and Notary Public since January 2008. Over the years, he has amassed significant litigation experience across various facets of the law. He has developed a particular interest in Labour Law, Succession Law, and general Litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Cephas was an Associate at one of Zimbabwe’s leading law firms, Sawyer and Mkushi Legal Practitioners.
Achievements:
Cephas holds a Certificate of Appreciation in Enabling the Business of Agriculture (2017 Report) from the World Bank, as well as a Certificate of Accreditation in Advanced Criminal Defence Practice from International Bridges to Justice (IBJ). He has also been appointed as a Disciplinary Authority/Prosecutor for the Ministry of Local Government, where he handled cases involving allegations against local authority councilors and employees. Cephas is a member of the Zimbabwe Economics Society and a former Managing Partner of the firm.
Publications:
Cephas is an avid writer who has contributed to various published and unpublished articles on Land Reform and Land Transfer in Zimbabwe, in collaboration with Lloyd Mhishi. He also runs an online blog titled Labour Watch Zimbabwe, which features articles on developments in labour law in Zimbabwe. Additionally, Cephas contributes to the New Perspectives column in the Zimbabwe Independent newspaper.
